Irene Sendler was a Holocaust heroine who, with only a team of about twenty, rescued the lives of over 2,500 children from being sent to concentration camps during WW2. She passed away today at the age of 98. She risked her life and went undercover to save children from Nazi death camps where they WOULD have been tortured and killed without her.Please, go read her story, she's an absolutely incredible woman and deserves every bit of recognition and honor she gets.
