Ah, this is one of those contemplative, middle of the night posts that you don't normally see from me. Anyway, I was just thinking. Don't we, as Christians, try so hard to recognize evil in the world and try to abstain from it? Yes, of course we do, that that is a GREAT thing. But I was just thinking that sometimes some people focus on trying to stay away from the bad things and focus on identifying them SO HARD that they forget about something very important.
ENJOYING THE GOOD.
I mean, recognizing what's wrong in the world is important, but sometimes I feel that some people focus on so hard, they almost forget about the good things God gave us. I mean, really, when was the last time you breathed in deeply, and just sat there thinking, "God this is beautiful." Not, "God, what can I change right now because I have to." Addressing the issues in our lives is so important, and it's our responsibility, I just feel that around me, sometimes people just focus SO MUCH on pinpointing the negatives and avoiding them, than recognizing the good and sticking with the good instead of worrying about the bad in our lives. I mean, if we stay with the good, the bad won't bother us!
I'm not saying "don't try to make a difference in any way" just..I don't know, I just feel that some of us maybe aren't getting as much enjoyment out of life as we could, you know? I just want you guys to be happy.
Ok, I have a challenge for you guys this week. I want you to go outside. Yes, I want you to brave the harsh New England Weather *coughDEALWITHITcough* and go find a tree. YES, I said a tree. I want you to think of five things that are good or beautiful about said tree, and how it could in any way help you. Shade, wood, etc. Just sit there or a few minutes and notice how the leaves cast their lacy shadows across the ground. Just take five minutes this week to enjoy the good.

Megamazingawesomeness

David Cook's performance last night was megamazingawesomeness. Yeah. He was that good.

I think I found it so amazing because David is usually the hard rocker. He's always the one with the flashy lights going on in the background. This week, the contestants had to pick a song by Andrew Lloyd Webber, a famous musical composer.

That performance actually made my jaw DROP. Well, here's on of his usual performances to compare it to, and myabe you'll see why I was so amazed

Take THAT Phantom!

Oh, by the way, Simon is an idiot. The fact that he did this song only proves him to be an even more amazing vocalist. How are you supposed to maintain your rocker edge on MUSICAL week?

Also by the way, I PROMISE to post something besides a videa very soon! (But while I am, watch the "Hakuna Matata" Lord of the Rings vid!! It made me crack up =D

Hakuna Matata. AND Lord of the Rings. I think it's self explanatory.

I'd vote for KP any day ;-)

Hahahhahah, this is so funny. This is the description from the maker of the vid,

After seeing the latest Hillary Clinton Political Ad on TV, I was thinking that maybe if Kim Possible was running for President, how a Political Ad would be done for her.

I don't know about what they sang on American Idol last night, but less than 20 seconds ago, they sang "Jesus" yay =)

Do I really think that keeping it all inside will help me? Maybe.
You think I shouldn't. Well, have you really talked to me? Maybe I would tell you.
Have you ever gone out of your way to ask, "How was YOUR day today?" when I've asked you so many times how you were feeling? Tried to talk?
I'm not going to talk unless you ASK. If you don't try to talk to me, there's really nothing that I can say now is there?
God is the only one I NEED to talk to.
Others trying to get closer to me would just be apprecited. Especially when I've tried so hard.

Ok, well, apparently the first line of "Shout to the Lord" was changed. i didn't see that. At points when I was listening to hard to the lyrics I heard the correct ones *shrug*

(the extra periods are there just becuase otherwise the top of the grapefruit/pokeball goes all the way to the left, making it NOT look like a grapefruit/pokeball
